Take an enriching journey during the Emancipation Celebrations from Friday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 12th 2024

This year's theme, "Year of the Return," promises a series of captivating events honoring Cayman's heritage and resilience.

Event Schedule:

🔸Friday, May 3rd

Calling all members of the public to proudly wear the vibrant colours of the Cayman Islands; blue, white and red 

🔸Sunday, May 5th

Church Service at Elmslie Memorial at 4pm

🔸Monday, May 6th (Emancipation Day Holiday)

Emancipation celebration on Seafarer’s Way from 1pm – 8pm

🔸Tuesday, May 7th

Turtle Release at Governor's Beach at 9am

🔸Wednesday, May 8th

Unveiling of Commemorative plaque at the Bodden Town Slave Wall (Monument Road) at 10am

🔸Saturday, May 11th

Emancipation celebrations at Heritage Park (Spot Bay) from 11am – 8pm

🔸Sunday, May 12th

Closing Church service at Aston Rutty Centre at 10am
