Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival 2024

Foodies gather in their thousands to experience classic, local cuisine from Cayman favourites as well as imaginative, mouth-watering creations from the Islands’ newest eateries.

Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival presented by Visit Cayman Islands is an annual initiative of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) which promotes the culinary excellence of the Cayman Islands food and drink scene. Taste of Cayman 2024 is bigger than ever before, with an expanded entertainment menu over the weekend of 12th-13th April 2024. Get ready for Taste of Cayman with a side of The Black Eyed Peas!

What to Expect

Friday 12th April

This year, Taste of Cayman at Camana Bay is kicking off with a side of Black Eyed Peas. That’s right! The six-time Grammy award-winning, Black Eyed Peas are going to kick off Taste of Cayman with a one-night-only concert on Friday 12th April. They are known for a string of worldwide hits, like ‘I Gotta Feeling’, ‘Where is the Love’ and ‘Don't Stop the Party’, and have collaborated with successful artists such as Fergie, Justin Timberlake, Shakira and many more. Saturday 13th April

Once you've whet your appetite on Friday with the Black Eyed Peas, return to Festival Green, Camana Bay on Saturday 13th April to celebrate the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean with the highly anticipated, annual Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival.

Culinary Demos

Coming all the way from the Big Apple to our slice of paradise, meet the two celebrity chefs on the Bon Vivant Demo Stage in partnership with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CITA). 

Ron Ben-Israel Chef-Owner of one of the world's most established couture cake studios. His collections of trendsetting cakes have been spotted in many of New York’s hotels and venues and featured in countless publications and television shows, including The New York Times, Vogue Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Late Show with David Letterman and many more.

Mark Strausman Michelin-starred restaurant-trained chef, restaurateur and author who has achieved  the coveted position of chef de parti (senior chef) in the mid-1980s. The Chef and Owner of the critically acclaimed Mark’s Off Madison Restaurant and Bakery in NYC’s Flatiron District, Mark has also been featured on NBC’s The TODAY show, CBS This Morning, Martha Stewart Living and many others.

On Saturday 13th April, both Chefs will perform culinary demos on the Bon Vivant Demo stage. On Sunday 14th April, there will be a fun, relaxed, family-style brunch at Saltwater Grill as chefs work alongside the Saltwater Grill chefs to create signature dishes. Who has the best Cayman beef? The best cassava cake? We know some of the best Cayman-style meals are prepared right at home and that's why Taste of Cayman is calling all community chefs and bakers to enter their Cayman Style Beef and Heavy Cake competitions on Saturday 13th April! How to Vote

Like in previous years, visitors will be able to vote for the Best Restaurant. In 2024, guests can cast their vote via a new voting feature in partnership with the Good Taste app. So get ready to vote by downloading the latest version of the app now.
