Liquor carries a heavy duty in Cayman and this is reflected in liquor store prices and the cost of drinks at bars and restaurants. Duty on hard liquors like rum starts at CI$11.85 per litre. Duty on wine is CI$3.60, champagne CI$10.80, sparkling wine CI$7.80, overproof liquors CI$15.98, liqueurs CI$13.50 and duty on beer is CI$1.95. The duty on wine is per bottle, regardless of vintage and vineyard, so the variety of wines for sale are often superb, depending on where you look. George Town
You will find the Blackbeard's liquor store at the top end of Eastern Avenue opposite Kirk Market. You will find the Jacques Scott store at the junction of North Sound Road and Crewe Road. Tortuga Fine Wines & Spirits is located on North Sound Road.
Camana Bay
The very large Blackbeard's liquor and wine store is right next to Fosters grocery store.
Seven Mile Beach
As you drive up West Bay Road with George Town behind you, the Blackbeard's below XQs Restaurant is on the left just after Seven Mile Shops. The Jacques Scott is in Galleria Plaza which is the blue shopping plaza up on the right. The Blackbeard's in the Falls Shopping Plaza is opposite the Westin hotel. Tortuga Fine Wines & Spirits has four stores in the Seven Mile Beach area: 7 Mile Shops, West Shore Centre, The Greenery Plaza (next to The Strand Plaza) and in Governors Square.
West Bay
As you drive up into West Bay, and before you get to the 4-way stop, there is a large Fosters supermarket on the left. The Jacques Scott liquor and wine store is in the new plaza next to the supermarket.
Red Bay
At the big Hurleys roundabout in Red Bay there is a shopping centre called Grand Harbour. The Blackbead's liquor store is on the right just next to Hurleys supermarket.
Savannah
At the start of Savannah in the area where Pedro starts, there is a shopping centre called Countryside. There is a Jacques Scott liquor store in there.
North Side
In the middle of Frank Sound Road you will find a small shopping plaza and a Jacques Scott store can be sound in there.
East End
Opposite the Wyndham Reef Resort on the Queens Highway in East End there is a small shopping plaza called Morritt's Plaza, and the Jacques Scott liquor store is in there.
