Tortuga Fine Wines & Spirits
Tortuga Fine Wines & Spirits is family owned and operated since 1984 with several duty free liquor stores, plus a store in the Owen Roberts Airport and within the Cruise Port Terminal. They also sell their world famous rum cake and other Tortuga products.
Bakery Tour
The founders of the Tortuga Rum Company began baking and selling rum cake on the Cayman Islands in 1987. Today, more than 5,000 cakes a day are produced at the Tortuga Rum Cakes Bakery, and you can visit the factory and sample the treat for yourself. Find out more about the manufacturing process of Tortuga Rum Cakes on a visit to the bakery, where you can watch bakers at work through observation windows. You can also sample different flavours of rum cake—including the Golden Original Rum Cake.
The tour is free of charge and while a booking is recommend, it is not necessary. The experience is delivered by knowledgeable, seasoned tour guides who escort guests through the Visitor Centre and Bakery and share insights into the legacy behind the company’s 40-year journey. Visitors can even sample various Tortuga rums and spirit cake flavours, before choosing their favourites to take home from the on-site gift store.
